Beginning and manufacturing program
The TEDOM company was founded in 1991 in Třebíč, Czech Republic as a private company with exclusively Czech capital. At the time its key business was formed by development, production and sale of cogeneration units equipped with reciprocating gas combustion engines. Later on TEDOM activities were extended by operating of district heating sources.
From Cogeneration to District Heating Sources
TEDOM CHP unit sale is based on philosophy of economical analysis of efficient installation. TEDOM business activities were mainly target on operation of city and village district heating sources. TEDOM effort to increase the efficiency of district heating sources aimed at the idea to start the heating sources operation as a complex.
Milestones in History of the ENERGETICS division:
| 1994 | established a 100% subsidiary company of TEDOM Třebíčská tepelná společnost s.r.o. (TTS) |
| 1996 | participation in the selection process for the reconstruction and operation of the heating system in Ivančice. Another subsidiary company of TEDOM is established - the TEPLO Ivančice, s.r.o. company. |
| 1997 | TEDOM wins the selection process for the operation of the heating system in the Jeseník town, where another subsidiary is established - the Jesenická tepelná společnost s.r.o. (JTS) |
| 1998 |
established another heating-energy system in Příbor, the Příborská tepelná společnost s.r.o. TEDOM also wins a public competition for the reconstruction and running of the heating system in Volyně. |
| 1999 | the Příborská tepelná společnost is renamed - new title of the company is the Příborská tepelná. TEDOM wins the selection process for the operation and financing of the heating system in Svitavy. |
| 2000 | established the TENERGO Brno a.s., to conduct the operation of heating-energy systems in Slovakia. |
| 2001 | beginning of operation the heating system in Světlá nad Sázavou and in Zruč nad Sázavou. Beginning of utilization of landfill gases for energy purposes at landfill sites in Prague, Ostrava, Teplice and Chvaletice. |
| 2002 |
heavy investments towards the source parts of the energy system in the Prague landfill sites in Ďáblice and Dolní Chabry, and to the complete construction of a system for the extraction and utilization of bio-gas from the landfill sites in Chvaletice, Modlany and in Ostrava. |
